Sexual
propagation: Most plants reproduce more of their kind
through production of seeds. This is SEXUAL REPRODUCTION and it
involves the exchange of genetic material between two parent
plants.
Asexual
propagation: Asexual propagation does not involve exchange
of genetic material, so it almost always produces plants that
are identical to a single parent.

Propagation: Propagation of Camellias is done by seeds,
cuttings and grafting. With seeds, a new cultivar is created. It
takes about 4 to 20 years before the plant will bloom, and most
likely the quality of the new plant is inferior to existing
cultivars.
